The Driving Test was first started in Britain on 1st June 1935, due to the number of casualties on the UK roads. Examiners were recruited mainly from the services and Police. The Driving Test was suspended during the war (1939-46). The motor vehicle boom of the mid-fifties resulted in more new examiners recruited to fill the many vacancies.
The Motorcycle Driving Test which consists of a theory and practical test is designed to ensure that new riders are sufficently competent to ride a motorcycle safely on British roads.
Scotti Knights provide the full compliment of motorcycle rider tuition from Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) to ensure that new riders are certified as competent to learn to ride a motorcycle, up to the full Direct Access Scheme to allow qualifed riders to ride a bigger bike.
